POWERDRIVE final event: advancing power electronics for the next generation of Electric Vehicles

After more than four years of collaborative research and innovation, the POWERDRIVE Final Event will bring together project partners, industry representatives, policymakers, and stakeholders in Gothenburg, Sweden, on 8-9 October 2026 to present the project’s achievements and explore the future of electric mobility. Hosted at the Volvo Group Headquarters, the event will mark the culmination of the POWERDRIVE project and provide a platform to discuss how advanced power electronics can support Europe’s transition towards zero-emission road transport.
The first day, on 8 October, will be dedicated to consortium activities, including the project’s General Assembly, a visit to Volvo facilities, and networking opportunities for project partners. The public event on 9 October will open the doors to a wider audience interested in the future of electric vehicles and sustainable mobility.
Participants will have the opportunity to learn more about:
- The European policy and research perspective on electric mobility
- An overview of the POWERDRIVE project and its objectives
- Key technical and scientific results achieved throughout the project
- Pathways from research results to market deployment
- Demonstrations and guided tours of project prototypes and innovations
The final event offers a valuable opportunity to discover the project’s outcomes, engage with experts from across the mobility value chain, and discuss how innovative solutions can accelerate the uptake of cleaner and more efficient transport technologies. Participation is free of charge, although registration is required and places are limited.
