The Horizon Europe Work Programme 2026 is officially out

The European Commission adopted the main Horizon Europe Work Programme for 2026-2027, a €14 billion investment designed to drive research and innovation (R&I) across the EU’s strategic goals.

The 2Zero partnership published two ambitious and forward-looking topics as part of the 2026 call:

• Large-scale demonstration of Heavy-Duty Battery Electric Vehicles (HD BEV) towards long-haul logistics operations
• Energy-efficient software-defined EVs

With a total budget available of 84 million euros, these topics will take us a step closer to achieving our ambition of a climate neutral road transport system.
