Call for contribution to ZEvRA project HCA tool

The ZEvRA project is currently inviting external experts to contribute to validating a new tool designed to assess the circularity of electric vehicles. This tool, called the Harmonized Circularity Assessment (HCA), aims to evaluate EV sustainability across four main dimensions: circular, environmental, economic, and social.
To support the refinement of the methodology, the project team is asking participants to fill out a structured rating form. In the form, participants will be asked to rate the importance of several sustainability indicators grouped under each dimension, and to assign a weight to each of the four spheres, making sure the total adds up to 100%. This input will help balance the tool and ensure it reflects a wide range of professional perspectives.
To help participants understand the context and structure of the assessment, a short explainer video is available, which introduces the logic behind the tool and explains how it applies the 9Rs framework (refuse, reduce, reuse, repair, refurbish, remanufacture, repurpose, recycle, recover) to the EV value chain. Additionally, a support document has been published, offering detailed descriptions of the indicators.
The Harmonized Circularity Assessment is a key output of ZEvRA, which focuses on improving the circularity of EVs from materials sourcing to end-of-life. The methodology will also support digital traceability tools, workforce training, and the development of new circular business models.
