Public workshop of the eVADER project

The Workshop will be held in Applus+ IDIADA on the 21^st November just after the Electric Vehicle Symposium & Exhibition (EVS27) Congress in Barcelona (17-20 November 2013). The Workshop is sponsored by the EC in the context of the eVADER project.

Studies suggest that vehicles driven in electric mode are significantly quiet and represent a safety hazard for pedestrians and cyclists in traffic. eVADER is the reference EU project investigating the interior and exterior sound scape of electric vehicle for safe operation. The project defines solutions to warn vulnerable users of a nearby moving vehicle while providing means for heightening the awareness of drivers in critical situations. After the first two years of the project, eVADER organises its first public workshop. Renowned speakers in the area will show their findings and challenges in electric vehicles and pedestrian safety.

Please note that no fees are required for the participation and that a bus will be organized to transfer the attendants from Barcelona to IDIADA and from IDIADA to the airport.
