INDustrial TECHnologies 2018 – IndTech2018: Innovative industries for smart growth

The organisation team of the European conference “INDustrial TECHnologies 2018 – Innovative industries for smart growth” (INDTECH2018) welcomes you to Vienna from 29-31 October, 2018. INDTECH2018, which will be held under the Austrian Presidency of the Council of the European Union and is supported by the Directorate-General for Research and Innovation of the European Commission, will combine keynote presentations, talks, a matchmaking event and exhibitions. It provides an excellent opportunity to meet experts from industry, academia and policy to exchange information and to strengthen collaboration.

Industry is the backbone of the European economy. Knowledge, innovation and competitiveness are key determinants for growth and jobs in Europe. The conference “INDustrial TECHnologies 2018: Innovative industries for smart growth” provides a platform for stakeholders from research organisations, industry and policy making.
Further steps to shape and strengthen European industrial and research policy in general as well as in the fields of nanotechnology, advanced materials, production technologies and biotechnologies in particular shall be discussed and taken. Investments in these Key Enabling Technologies foster further research and innovation in Europe and provide the basis for a modern and competitive European industry.
A special focus is put on cross-technology priorities like connecting innovation ecosystems, involvement of citizens in innovation processes as well as sustainable production and efficient use of resources.
