Proposal for an Automotive Partnership in the next European budget

We are happy to announce that, earlier today, we presented our proposal for a joint Partnership for the Automotive sector in the next European budget to Joanna Drake, Deputy Director General in DG R&I, European Commission. In line with the Automotive Action Plan, we think that a large-scale partnership can enhance the competitiveness, technological sovereignty, innovation power and sustainability of the European automotive sector.
Building on the success of the 2Zero and CCAM partnerships, our proposal relies on key principles, including simplification and agility, in order to boost and speed up Research & Innovation in Europe. Relying on the strong European automotive R&I ecosystem, which involves both industry and research communities, this new Partnership should reinforce European collaborative research and accelerate the market implementation of new technologies and innovative road mobility solutions.
This proposal was developed together with ERTRAC, CCAM and EARPA and in coordination with EUCAR and CLEPA. We look forward to continuing the discussion and stand ready to shape the future of road transport R&I priorities.
