Introducing ODYSSEV project to the 2Zero community

We are excited to welcome ODYSSEV (Optimised Dynamics of high-voltage powertrains: developing Sustainable Systems for Electric Vehicles) to the 2Zero Partnership portfolio. Selected under the HORIZON‑CL5‑2024‑D5‑01‑02 topic alongside projects such as GEN1200, HiVEP, and Enlighten, ODYSSEV strengthens Europe’s collective effort to advance electric vehicle powertrains and zero-emission mobility.
The HORIZON‑CL5‑2024‑D5‑01‑02 topic targets the development and real-world demonstration of post‑800 V electric powertrains, aiming to overcome limitations in efficiency, charging speed, and system cost. Projects under this call are expected to deliver advanced power electronics, optimised system architectures, and integrated vehicle-level testing to support high-performance, sustainable EV technologies.
By integrating technologies into a real vehicle, ODYSSEV aims to achieve measurable improvements: up to 30% reduction in energy losses, 20% increase in driving range, up to 20% lower power electronics costs, and fast-charging from 20% to 80% in approximately 10 minutes using 350 kW chargers.
Beyond its technical achievements, ODYSSEV brings significant added value to the 2Zero Partnership by fostering collaboration and knowledge exchange across projects, generating validated real-world data to guide future development, and supporting standardisation and interoperability of high-voltage components. By complementing the existing portfolio and enabling synergies with the other projects selected under the same call, ODYSSEV strengthens the partnership’s collective expertise and accelerates Europe’s transition to zero-emission mobility.
