EGVIAfor2Zero, alongside 40 of its members, has been selected to join the EURIAS expert group

Following the publication of the Industrial Action Plan for the European Automotive Sector in March 2025, and the signature of the Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between the European Commission and the three associations representing co-programmed partnerships active in road transport (EGVIAfor2Zero, CCAM Association and BEPA), the European Commission launched an Expert group on European Union Research and Innovation for the automotive sector (EURIAS).
With more than 60 organisations selected, the Expert Group will advise the European Commission (EC) on the preparation of future policy initiatives and instruments in the area of research and innovation (R&I) for the automotive sector.
The expert group held its kick-off meeting on 27th March 2026, and sub-groups are now being created to assist the EC in identifying the most relevant topics for R&I that can strengthen the competitiveness of the European Automotive sector, contributing to a forward-looking strategic research and innovation agenda, the third MoU deliverable.
EGVIAfor2Zero and its members will bring their expertise and experience into the different sub-groups and will ensure that the key challenges to achieving clean and affordable mobility are properly reflected in the upcoming activities and publications.
