2Zero SRG elected its chair
States Representative Group (SRG) have been created in co-programmed partnerships in Horizon Europe in order to support the cooperation and exchange of views and information among Member States; thanks to regular meetings and closer cooperation on specific technical matters, it is expected to achieve a better alignment among the different countries participating.
The 2Zero SRG elected its chair during its last meeting in Stockholm on 24th May 2023. Congratulation to Eleonora Riva Sanseverino from Italy for this new position!
“The 2zero partnership is committed to supporting the energy transition in the road transport sector. Doing so is challenging for our industry in Europe and to ensure competitiveness, states must take the important role of creating an adequate regulatory framework. Innovative concepts such as looking at the whole life cycle of vehicles and accounting for the use of raw materials will not be easy, though necessary. Research and Innovation will have to interact more and more with the policy level, consider the social dimension and provide cost-effective solutions. The 2 zero partnership I am honored to chair supports this through the States Representative Group that, through exchanges of views and best practices, will set the ground for further cooperation in such a strategic sector.”

With this good step forward, the SRG continued the discussions with insightful presentations from the Swedish hosts, presentations on the latest Alternative Fuel Infrastructure Regulation (AFIR) developments and the most recent activities from the Sustainable Transport Forum (STF) from DG MOVE and an overview of the latest activities and perspectives from the 2Zero side.
The next meeting is expected in Spain, in conjunction with the Council presidency. This will be the first SRG meeting organized in collaboration with another partnership: Connected, Cooperation and Automated Mobility (CCAM).
