Launching workshop – Countries and regions initiatives supporting zero emission road freight and logistics series

ALICE and Electro Mobility Europe (EMEurope)*, with the support of POLIS network, cordially invite you to a jointly organised series of online workshops on “Countries and regions initiatives supporting zero-emission road freight and logistics“.

A launching workshop is scheduled to take place on Wednesday 1 June 2022 from 16-17h (CET) via Zoom.

The agenda is structured like this:

  • 15.45: Opening
  • 16.00 Welcome and Introduction
A brief overview of the current situation and challenges concerning zero-emission road freight and logistics will be given by the co-organisers followed by an introduction to the aim and framework of the countries and regions workshops.
  • 16.25 Teaser of national and regional workshops
The first countries and regions workshops will be announced with a brief overview of their contents given by the respective national and regional ministries and agencies.
  • 16.45 Q&A and Discussions
  • 17.00 End of workshop

The series is a follow-up to a successful jointly organised workshop on the topic of electric mobility in urban freight and city logistics in June 2021. The aim of these national and regional lead workshops is to bring together representatives of companies, research, cities and (national/regional) policymakers to share information on current and planned incentive schemes, especially about research and innovation (R&I) programmes to accelerate the transition towards zero-emission road freight transport and logistics in European cities, regions and countries.

During the launching workshop, teaser information about the national and regional workshops will be shared and countries/regions and dates will be announced. The focus of the national and regional workshops will be road freight transport and logistics decarbonisation mainly through battery electric and fuel cell hydrogen solutions, but in some cases also addressing short-term transition opportunities like bio- and synthetic fuels.

The first countries and regions sharing their programmes will be Austria, Sweden and Italy-Piedmont.
