15th International Forum on Advanced Microsystems for Automotive Applications (AMAA 2011)
The AMAA is an annual international two day conference dealing with ICT, controls and smart systems that enable the automobile of the future. In 2011, it will take place on 29 and 30 June in Berlin, Germany. The subject is “Smart Systems for Electric, Safe and Networked Mobility”. A particular focus shall be on mergers of the electrified vehicle with intelligent controls and broadband communication technologies which can be expected to lead to a wholly new mobility world (www.amaa.de).
Fundamental transformations are imminent for the automobile today: propulsion technologies are going to shift to electric motors; cars and roads will soon be as safe as never before; and traffic will flow increasingly efficient. These advancements are due to innovative ICT, controls and smart systems, both in the vehicle and at its interfaces with the systems for power supply, mobility and data communication.
It has been the objective of the International Forum on Advanced Microsystems for Automotive Applications (AMAA) for more than fifteen years to detect novel trends and to discuss the technological implications from day one on.
All experts from industry and academia are now called to submit proposals for papers addressing ongoing research and novel developments in the field of ICT components and systems leading to the automobile and road transport of the future. Discussions at the conference will focus on the following application areas:
- Electrified Vehicles
- Power Train Efficiency
- Safety & Driver Assistance
- Networked Vehicles
- Components & Systems
Proposals for presentation of a paper at the 15th AMAA should be submitted in the form of an abstract (not exceeding one page A4) to the AMAA Office (office@amaa.de) by 31 January 2011. The selection criteria include technical excellence and innovative strength of the described work. Authors of accepted abstracts will be expected to submit a paper for the AMAA Conference Book which is published worldwide by Springer prior to the conference..
The AMAA is jointly organized VDI/VDE Innovation + Technik GmbH, the European Technology Platform on Smart Systems Integration (EPoSS), and the EU-Projects “Information and Communication Technologies for the Full Electric Vehicle” (ICT4FEV) and “Implementing Private Public Partnership in the European Green Cars Initiative” (CAPIRE). As part of the conference programme, the objectives of the upcoming calls for proposals of the European Green Cars Initiative will be presented and opportunities for the building of consortia will be provided.
